Basket brigade is London Yes Group's only supported
charity and here is how one volunteer described it:
I have participated in Basket Brigade over the last
couple of years and found it very moving and an inspiring experience. The energy
and buzz of packing hundreds of hampers as fast as we possibly could and then
jumping in the car to deliver them was an experience we will always remember
especially seeing the children's faces at the houses when they saw the hampers.

So what is the Basket Brigade? Basket
Brigade is an annual event, inspired by Anthony Robbins, of unconditional
contribution and fundraising. The recipients of the baskets are people like you
and me, who just happen to be in a place at the moment where they have been
dealt a very difficult hand.
So, once a year, every year, on the 23rd December,
hundreds of volunteers in London come together to give unconditionally to their
community.
Last year over 200 London Yes Group volunteers and their friends
delivered over 700 Christmas baskets in one day to families who face difficulty.
Imagine the pressure and sadness that many families feel at Christmas. Now
imagine their reaction to a stranger appearing on their doorstep and providing a
basket full of food and seasonal goods! And accompanying the basket is a card
which reads:
“This basket comes to you from someone who cares about
you. All we ask is that you take care of yourself well enough to be able to do
this for someone else someday.” Signed “A friend”.
How can you get involved?
There are
many ways you can contribute; from packaging and driving on the day to fund
raising and coordinating operations. Many people even bring their families down
to join in the party atmosphere on the day.
And, new for this year, we are planning to make December
23rd an even greater day of contribution by running a number of community
projects, such as painting and decorating in local schools. Sign up below and we

Fundraising Basket Brigade is 100%
funded through donations, fundraising and sponsorship. No people costs are taken
out; everyone works on a voluntary basis.

Basket Brigade London is actually a part of something much
bigger that happens around the world. We work with the Anthony Robbins
Foundation every year to make this happen in London. Recently we received this

What began more than 30 years ago as Tony's
individual effort to feed families in need, has now grown into the Anthony
Robbins Foundation's International Basket Brigade, providing baskets of food and
household items for more than 2 million people annually in countries all over
the world. Basket Brigade is built on a simple notion: one small act of
generosity on the part of one caring person can transform the lives of hundreds.
It takes only one light to dispel the darkness and even just one basket or a
few, to bring hope.
