The Leadership Team
Yes Group London is a voluntary organisation. Each month we host a lively meeting usually featuring two keynote speakers. In the background we have a dedicated team of people who oversee the running of our events. We call the management team "The Leadership Team". Behind the extraordinary events hosted each month is an amazing Team of volunteers taken from our membership who make up our “Leadership” and support teams. We are most grateful for the substantial amounts of valuable time, energy and resources they dedicate to the infrastructure of Yes Group London for it to function and grow as successfully as it does. This includes people who manage a speakers committee, website, newsletter, event dancers and music, social events, workshops, events registration, plus a marketplace dedicated to promoting books, CDs and other merchandise in keeping with our values.

Karl is also an enthusiastic entrepreneur who has pioneered dance music & personal development, he has been involved with many successful business ventures many operating today to include; For the last 10 years Original Thing, a marketing company providing promotional ideas and supplying branded products to blue chip clients, boutique hotels & professional organisations with a focus on sustainable branding. Karl has a passion for making a difference and collaborating effectively through Masterminding©. For over five years he has been developing what he refers to as the Masterminding© model. A success strategy founded by Napoleon Hill, all about collaboration with the best application being for entrepreneurs. Karl's latest business is LifeStyleAgent.com where alongside personal and professional development there are a huge variety of ways for people to enhance their lifestyle and to find expert advice and help. Mac has developed many friendships, acquaintances and several business partners through the Yes Group over the last few years. He started off as a member, and then started helping out as a crew member and after a few years joined the Leadership Team. Mac is an accomplished entrepreneur, business consultant, an inspiring speaker and an author. He is co-author of the book 'The Power of Masterminding' and runs the innovative Master:Mind Your Business programme. He is an ex-Regional Director of BNI (the world's largest business networking organisation) and a former Associate Lecturer for the Open University (London). He has been a student and teacher of various Martial Arts for over 24 years. He has attained the level of 3rd Dan Black Belt in TaeKwon-do in which he is also a former UK National Champion – to him it is ‘ A Way of Life’. Mac is a family man and they are his main priority in life – they always come first! John has been using Personal Development since joining a Network Marketing business in 1993, and came across the Yes Group by way of recommendation of his firewalk partner, when he attended a Tony Robbins UPW event in 1999. John completed the Robbins Mastery University programme in 2001 and went on to attend Leadership Academy in 2004. John is passionate about delivering high energy, stimulating monthly events that inspire members and guests to take action and get the utmost out of every speaker that graces the Yes Group stage. He particularly wants to foster the creation of new Yes Groups worldwide, and help founder Karl Pearsall extend the Yes Group influence wherever people have an interest in Personal Development. Outside of Yes Group, John is a founding shareholder and Technical Director with a specialist construction company, and has a number of other business interests including being an accredited Ultimate DISCovery System trainer. He sits on the Advisory Council of the Federation of Plastering & Drylining Contractors, and is the current Chair of the Investor Info Club. His extensive business experience has proved invaluable in giving relevant advice to the Leadership Team. John has strong Christian beliefs, and if there was only one quote that he could choose it would be this: "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus : Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death - even death on a cross! Keith is passionate about figures in his day job as an accountant and an auditor. And he is a keen football lover as most of his Saturdays are spent blowing his trusted whistle as a referee on the football pitch. He may not be the best dancer in the world and rarely graces the Yes Group stage but he made sure that one family representative does - his son Jonathon is a talented dancer and you can often see him lead the dancers on stage. back to the Leadership Team Tania Birch
She says of her first YES Group event: "It was like finding a haven of growth, community and love in an otherwise mad world!" Like many people these days, Tania has had an eclectic life, beginning with a very early thirst for knowledge and an innate drive to want to help people. This took her into the commercial world of medical science…and a realignment of her values took her out again! and on to a more people orientated path. In 2006, Tania took a break from her successful and decidedly organic career in the blue-chip world and took on the now delightful role of motherhood. Unfortunately health challenges made the initial transition a difficult one and Tania would be the first to say that she found the YES Group at precisely the time when she needed to find herself again, as many new mothers do. Stepping up and into the (then) new role of Head of Human Resources has allowed her to do exactly that, growing the HR function from scratch, whilst having the support, encouragement and friendship of a truly unprecedented peer group. Tania says "I've always been a champion of life long learning in every sense (my motto is: "Embrace life - try anything once and if you don't like it, learn from it!!"). Being able to immerse myself in the world of personal development in the YES Group and at the same time being able to give something back through volunteering is a true gift and one which I would encourage anyone to say YES to." Tania has many strings to her bow - including a passion for singing (mostly leading a chorus of "The Wheels on the Bus" rather than fronting a band these days!), dancing and all things artistic - and is currently deciding which string to play or add next. In the meantime she continues on her life-journey of growth and discovery and looks forward to connecting with you and sharing a hug at the next YES Group London event. back to the Leadership Team Nitzan Marinov
Slowly she increased her level of involvement until she was finally able to step in to John’s big shoes as head of ICT – a role she’s been filling since 2008. Being part of the YES Group and part of the Leadership Team, Nitzan finds that she is able to contribute and to get back 10 times in return. She is very grateful to all her team members for helping her run all ICT functions and is especially proud when they step up in times of urgency. At the events, you'll often find her at the registration desk, helping the registration team. Outside of the YES Group Nitzan is the Administration Director of Meet & Link (www.meetnlink.com) and she also has an active interest in health and wellness, supporting people's health. A famous quote that resonates with Nitzan is attributed to Marianne Williamson: Our biggest fear is not that we are inadequate; our biggest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? Your playing small doesn't serve the world. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us and as we let our own light shine we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. back to the Leadership Team Steve Oxlade
